The River of Understanding is the proud host of the Angel of Sorrow Award, an award granted to the best pages dedicated to Anathema, the band that has changed the whole meaning of the concept "Doom Metal".

The Angel of Sorrow Award also serves as an efficient link between all of the best anathema pages. Each awarded page is linked back to this page, which makes it easy for Anathemaniacs to share resources regarding the band.

Do you have a web page dedicated to Anathema? You could be the next winner of The Angel of Sorrow! Simply fix your site so it meets the criteria and then submit it.

Please read all the criteria before submitting your site. Even if you want to steal the award, your site won't be listen here if it doesn't meet the requirements.

« Criteria »

1. Your site has to be only related to Anathema. You can have links to other bands, but the page that you submit must be dedicated to Anathema specifically.
   
   
2. Your site has to have more than one page. This means it can't be just a one-page summary of the band's bio.
   
   
3. Your site has to have proper links. This means, no broken ones, and no links to other pages that trap users inside your frames! (use "_blank" or "_parent" in your links)
   
   
4. Do not steal images from other pages without including a link to the respective page, or linking the image itself.
   
   
5. Submit your site only once, unless you have made major changes between the first and the second time, in which case I will just ignore the first submission.
   
   
6. After submitting your site, wait until I come back to you to put the award in your page. You will have to insert the proper HTML code in your page.
   
   
7. If I don't reply to your submission after around 3 weeks, consider you site a not-winner. However, if your site is good, you will know within the week.
   
   
8. If your site is awarded, you must copy the award image to your own server. Please don't use my bandwidth!
   
   
9. If your site is awarded, you must link the award image back to this page (to see the proper way to do it click here).
